J.W. HARRIS brazing alloys are the cleanest and
brightest alloys made. Free of oxide and surface impurities,
the purity of Harris alloys runs all the way through the rod.
Purity makes a huge difference in the integrity of a brazed
joint. Leaks are caused by oxide and impurities - CONTAMINATION
- that enter the joint in the molten metal of an impure brazing
alloy and impede the brazing alloy flow. Wherever there is contamination,
the alloy flows around it, leaving pinholes in the joint. These
pinholes are tiny doors which allow refrigerant gas to leak
out. Leaks are expensive - the serviceman has to return to the
job to rebraze the joint and must refill the expensive refrigerant
that was lost from the leaks. When properly brazed, the biggest
difference between a Harris joint and a joint brazed with another
brand is reliability. You won't find a more dependable brazing
alloy than Harris.
J.W. Harris produces the highest quality phosphorus/copper
brazing rod in the world. The proprietary production technology
Harris developed to manufacture these alloys is still unique
today. The alloy's phosphorous content is controlled to a tolerance
five times tighter than industry requires. Such tight control
means absolute consistency in application and performance with
every rod, every batch. |

FLASH™ has a substantially lower melting temperature than
standard 0% silver alloys resulting in less annealing of and
less damage to the base metal. Brazing time is faster. Cycle
time is less. FLASH™ is an economical and fast-flowing
phos/copper alloy ideally suited for all manufacturing applications
- both manual and automatic - where fast, sound, cost-effective
connections are essential. No one else has FLASH™ - only
J.W. Harris.

Dynaflow®
is an exceptionally pure, phos/copper/silver brazing alloy recommended
for all copper-to-copper and copper-to-brass cooling applications.
Harris invented Dynaflow® years ago as an economical alternative
to 15% silver alloys, and through the years, the serviceability
and economic benefits of Dynaflow® have made it a familiar
and standard replacement for 15% in the HVAC/R industry. Dynaflow®
is a premium, medium-range silver alloy, formulated to even
tighter specifications than the Stay-Silv® alloys to mirror
the performance characteristics of the 15% silver brazing filter
metals. Excellent for brazing both tight and poorly-fitted connections,
Dynaflow's proven reliability and acceptance by field service
engineers have made it the leading choice of brazing operators.

Stay-Clean®
(liquid soldering flux): Liquid soldering flux
for almost all metals other than aluminium, magnesium or titanium.
User with Stay-Brite solders or practically and other solder
with a liquidus temperature below 700F. Not recommended for
electrical or electronic applications. Meets Commercial Spec.
A-A-51145C, Form B.
|
Stay-Clean®
(paste soldering flux): Excellent flux for joining
copper to copper and copper to brass. Not recommended for electrical
or electronic applications. Meets Commercial Spec. A-A-51145C,
Form A. |
 |
(white brazing flux):

than aluminium, magnesium or titanium. Effective to 1600F. Meets
Fed. Soec. OF499, Type B; AWS A5.31, Class FB3A; AMS 3410.
|
(black
brazing flux):
For use with silver or other brazing alloys
with liquidus temperature below 1800F. Recommended for stainless
steel, heavy parts, and whever heating cycle is prolonged. For
all metals other than aluminium, magnesium or titanium. Meets
AWS A5.31, Class FB3C; AMS 3411; Fed. SPec. 0-F-499D, Type B.

(high-temperature
paste soldering flux); Although this flux can be used
in any soldering application, it is specifically designed to be
used with lead-free solders. Bridgit high-temp flux resists the
higher temperatures associated with lead-free solders making it
an ideal choice for all plumbing applications. Bridgit High-Temperature
Soldering Flux is also well suited for use in larger connections
where prolonged heating will often cause other fluxes to burn
off or char. |
(water-soluble
paste soldering flux) Water-soluble paste flux for use
with Bridgit and most common wire solders. Bridgit flux flushes
away easily after soldering. Meets all state and federal regulations
for fluxes used in potable water systems. Great for use in soldering
copper, bass, bronze, galvanized and other plumbing fittings.
Confirms to ASTM B 813-93. |
